Some Quick Tips
- Most sessions start around golden hour time (the hour before and after sunrise or sunset) as the lighting is chefs kiss at this time. We will work with you and check in with you the week of to make sure we start at the perfect time with the predicted weather: you should have nothing short of perfect when it comes to the details!
- Neutral colors are always ideal for outfits, but the seasons can change some of the ideals as well! While it’s true that whites, greys, blacks, tans, and jean colors are always safe and clean in front of the camera, colors like red & browns can be beautiful during the fall. So, it all depends! We’ll help you narrow down your best options unique to your photo day!

1. Furman University, Greenville
- Furman University, a well-known, college in the Upstate, has some of the most beautiful pathways, buildings, and outdoor photo locations for couples & families!
- Our Favorite Spot: The Bell tower or the Rose Gardens!
- Ideal for: Couples, Families, Outdoor Photos, Water Background, Fountain Photos
- Beautiful at both golden hours!
- Furman University not only has beautiful buildings, but their Rose Garden and quiet Temple area are gorgeous spots for photos!
2. Falls Park, Greenville
- In the heart of Greenville is one of the most beautiful spots of the Upstate: Falls Park. From the Liberty Bridge to the beautiful walkways full of seasonal flowers, this is a perfect spot for Upstate couples who want a mix of intimate outdoor photos with a taste of the Greenville city.
- Our Favorite Spot: the Bottom of Reedy River Falls & hidden pathways of the park!
- Ideal for: Couples, Families, Proposals, Outdoor Photos, Waterfall Photos, Photos in Greenville
- Beautiful at both golden hours and throughout the day!
- This area can be paired really well with our following photo spot: the Great Bohemian Lodge!
3. The Grand Bohemian Lodge, Greenville
- Paired right with Falls Park, the Grand Bohemian Lodge is the perfect spot for more intimate, moodier, classier photo vibes. From the aesthetic bookshelves to the gorgeous high ceilings, this is a great spot to shoot couple photos in the midst of downtown Greenville.
- Our Favorite Spot: the hidden gem corner full of bookcases, high windows and historical artifacts!
- Ideal for: Couples, Engagements, Intimate Photos, Artsy Photos, Photos in Greenville
- Beautiful at any time of day!
- This is a great spot for lifestyle romance: grabbing drinks, walking around the hotel, elevator photos, etc.
4. Table Rock Visitor’s Center, Pickens
- Based at one of the prettiest spots outside of the Greenville, South Carolina area, Table Rock Visitor Center combines mountain views with gorgeous lake views, nearby meadows, and intimate spots to sit and watch sunset.
- Our Favorite Spot: the view of Table Rock with the beautiful SC trees in the foreground!
- Ideal for: Couples, Families, Engagements, Mountain Photos, Nature Photos, Lake Photos
- Best at Golden Hour!
- This spot is beautiful for mountain photos and less crowded than spots like Sassafras, Table Rock, or Caesars Head. You also get the perk of photos by the water as well!
5. Downtown Greenville
- Downtown Greenville: historic buildings, quaint bookshops, modern coffeeshops & hidden alleyways, downtown Greenville has a multitude of classy & uppity spots for couples and families looking for modern & edgy photos.
- Our Favorite Spot: the brick bottomed streets lined with historic buildings and pathways!
- Ideal for: Couples, Engagements, Modern Photos, Artistic Photos, City Photos
- Best the hour before sunset Golden Hour, doable throughout the day!
- This is the spot for chic, modern, editorial & artsy photos. Dress up in nice clothes and heels for that classic city vibe or dress comfy for a down to earth city session: the options are endless!
6. Hotel Domestique
- Are we in the European countryside or are we just at Hotel Domestique? Escape to the countryside to enter into an French vineyard dream: vintage styled aesthetics with gardens, terraces, and beautiful mountain views. For photoshoots, small weddings or events, and a great dinner from Restaurant 17.
- Our Favorite Spot: the French styled front or the beautiful mountain vineyard in the back!
- Ideal for: Couples, Engagements, Modern Photos, Artistic Photos, Mountain Photos, Classy Photos
- Best at Golden Hour!
- This is the spot for modern outdoor and classic feels: your photos will look like they’ve been done abroad in the midst of the European countryside!
7. Sassafras Mountain
- A mountain view in the clouds: the highest point in South Carolina, rising to 3,553 feet in the Blue Ridge Mountains near the North Carolina border. Breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding forests, valleys, and distant peaks, this is a top spot for mountain lovers and couples!
- Our Favorite Spot: Every view everywhere! 360 views, this spot is incredible.
- Ideal for: Couples, Engagements, Outdoor Photos, Family Photos, Mountain Photos
- Best at Golden Hour!
- The 360 views are worth every second, but it is a longer drive from the Greenville area. Perks are a very short walk to the views (3-5 minute walk), and depending on the day, not too busy for a beautiful mountain spot.
8. Parking Garages
- It sounds weird, but parking garages might just be one of the best spots to take photos in the Greenville, SC area. With those beautiful sunsets, the Upstate city, and church steeples in the background, you’d be surprised how intimate, fun, and memorable garage sessions are.
- Our Favorite Spot: View overlooking Grace Church, downtown Greenville
- Ideal for: Couples, Engagements, Outdoor Photos, Intimate Photos, City Photos
- Best at Golden Hour!
- The top of garages tend to be very private, open, and so great for playing music, running around, and having a great time together. These sessions are always underrated!
9. Charleston
- The historic streets, palm trees, and colorful buildings: we visit Charleston about once a month and would love to meet you for a family, couples, or engagement session. Whether it’s Rainbow Row, Folly Beach, running through historic alleyways or the view on Church Street, we love our when Greenville couples schedule sessions in the low country, and would love to book one with you!

- City is great lighting throughout the day, golden hour best especially for beach photos!

10. Pretty Place Chapel
- There has always been something about Pretty Place Chapel: the views above the clouds, the intimacy of the chapel, the sunrises and sunsets. There’s a reason why this spot is famous on social media, and it is a stunning place to not only take photos at but to also visit and enjoy in solitude. And we can testify, every second here is worth it, including that longer drive.
- Our Favorite Spot: Standing at the chapel’s edge!
- Ideal for: Couples, Engagements, Proposals, Outdoor Photos, Mountain Photos, Sunrise Photos
- Golden Hour always ideal at Pretty Place!
- Pretty Place does tend to be busy and also books out for events. You can check the schedule ahead of time to see if you are able to visit on your preferred date. On weekends, there will always be more people visiting, and it is a less intimate feel for photos. If y’all are comfortable with groups being around, you will not regret choosing this spot for your Greenville, South Carolina photos!
